From a quick look, if the game can utilise the multiple cores then the fx6300 backed with an appropriate gpu will outperform the i3 with the same gpu but if you're not looking to add a gpu then the i3 will outperform the fx6300 but it's not a large difference either way.Basketcase wrote: I'm planning on playing euro truck sim 2 with the recommended spec. Playing it now with just about the minimum gamesystemrequirements.com/game/euro-truck-simulator-2 that's the spec of the game

I've just been re-reading this
www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-208301...0-graphics-card.html
and I wondered what difference there is between an Optiplex 745 and 755. You won't believe this but I have both!! They look the same externally so the difference is internal right.
Horde 5150 says "the ASUS Geforce GTX 750 went in the Optiplex 745 MT with not really any effort at all! I'm quite surprised. The cooler on the GPU just barely makes contact with the caps on the motherboard, as well as the fan shroud on the CPU. Almost like they made it with this case in mind or something."
So would it go in the 755??
If it would then I'll keep a look out for one used. What does the ti mean as there are some geforce GTX 750 ti cards up for sale.
I have my eyes on this but the twin fans look ominously big. Ollie if you think it might be viable I'll put a bid on it.
I simply can't afford the price of this one below - especially not for a machine that is second place to an Xbox One.
