"In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GT 730. "

I thought that was the message.
I have had a counter offer on a 9800GT - note it is not a GTX. - but I am looking at GTXs too.
I checked and also the 730 is not low profile so won't fit in the Optiplex. It's looking like the only route is to get the 9800GT.

The main issue with the newer cards seems to be cooling, so double slot seems inevitable unless you use remote cooling.

Again another positive for the 9800GT as it is really slimline. It's big anyway.OllieNZ wrote: The main issue with the newer cards seems to be cooling, so double slot seems inevitable unless you use remote cooling.
