There is a forum or two for Pinins but TBH the DIYers are on here possibly because the Pinin is not a current motor where the Jimny is. In fact the only other site of any use for an old car is POCUK for Pajeros. The Pinin is a Pajero iO but I expect most of the Pinins have gone to the tinworm farm. The pity is that it is a great compromise between the Jimny, Vitara and Rav4. It has Jimny access and simplicity, Vitara size and rolling chassis set up, and Rav 4 interior appointments.

If you like the Jimny but want a tad more room then the iO fits the bill.

I don't know if you will be able to do this but I have in the past squirted WD40 into the end of the rubber pile and then got the straw of it wedged into the pipe a bit. The wriggle the pipe to allow the WD40 to run down the crack you create from the wriggling.

Keep doing it until enough WD40 has run between the pipe and the hose to separate them and make it slip off.

I've done it with coolant pipes I didn't want to man handle off.

You might not have the room though from what you've said.

So what I need to do is get some wire, (coat hanger stuff). I can use a long piece of wire to reach from the wheel side of the chassis. Weld wire was suggested earlier. The WD40 pipe won't reach. Flood the rim of the rubber pipe, insert the wire to create an opening for the WD40 to get in and then rinse and repeat??? Is that sort of what you mean with a bit of adaptation?

I have to say a big thank you cos WAHAY, it is off!! :ohmy: I did it your way. I used a really long screwdriver and lots of WD40.

I'd say defo most has gone. I don't think I can re-use it.



So now the replacement is on the way. Just hope it goes on quicker than this came off - 8 hours!!
