DH mountain biking is what you need to get into to achive scars  done my collar bone, knuckles, shins, elbows and even a overnight stay for a suspected compressed neck  any-one would have thought id have learnt to stay on the bike

i can relate to you there mate, i used to ride dirt jumps and 20" trials in my younger days, still have my 24" DMR rythm but now ride a mint 09 Kona Bass. nothing like whizzing flat out through the trees on single track, one mistake and you could end up speared by a tree B) DH is just madness tho really, going 30-40mph if not more down a mountain over rocks logs jumps etc, doesnt get enough coverage and respect. Steve Pete/rob warner should be knighted

Nice, has been a few years since I rode any big jumps on my DMR. Brought my kona as more of a xc bike with a view to it being bomb proof and jumpable if the need arose, it is a slopestyle bike really so can handle any abuse i chuck its way.riding 10-20 miles with the misses on my 24" single speed jump bike wasnt fun!! That is the problem with uk downhill not many places have ski lifts unless you goto scotland, I live in flat suffolk so full on DH isnt an option unfortunately.riding the alps will be awesome :cheer:
