I'm a Human Machine Interface engineer which envolves designing for manufacture and specifing keypad's, LCD displays, touchscreen etc for a wide range of industries and products. Basically, anything where a human has to control equipment or see information we can provide the nesaccary hardware. Done it for 12 years now and enjoy it as everything is bespoke so there is a lot of variety.

For my sins I also manage the companies entire IT infrastructure as well!

Prior to that I worked outside doing landscape gardening/grounds maintenance on a private estate. I loved the outdoor life a lot but it didn't pay the bills so I had to move on.
