NOTE: This is for members and their private sales/wants.
There are rules that suppliers have to follow (and many of you do follow the rules). However there have been a number of instances recently where "suppliers" have broken the rules.

Suppliers/Dealers or anyone selling with a commercial view in mind CANNOT post here unless responding to a specific request of a member in a "wanted" post.

Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum

Hi Martin, Yes the engine runs smoothly now with no faults except the TCM. Gear change clunks from park to neutral, reverse etc. Drives and changes gear OK. Only other fault the ESC/TC light is lit up on the dash.
Thank you all for advice on cleaning. I'll keep looking.
Peter

Sounds like keeping alert for another unit with the identical number might be your best approach. If your TCM is more-or-less working at the moment then you probably don't want to attempt a cleaning or repair at this time.  Best to wait until you have another in hand.

You may wish to try Procar 4x4 at this email: pronestisalvatore@libero.it .  They break a lot of Jimnys and are comfortable with international shipping.  I don't have direct experience, but I know they have a deep stock of used Gen3 parts.

Thanks for the Info and have sent an email.
I purchased a S/Hand unit from Japan but not the exact number but close 38880-76JJ 0 rather than the original part no. 38880-76JG 0
Taken from a 2017 (June) M13 engine Jimny.
Now fitted by garage and all lights clear except for the Transmission warning light is Amber. Jimny starts drives smoothly in all gears but after approx. 15 mins when warmed up selecting from P to D engine cuts out. Select back to P engine can be started but then select D engine stops. Could be a faulty TCM or ????
Still need to locate the correct TCM from somewhere.
Thanks for your comments.

Not sure but it could be related to the interlock switch that ought to protect you from starting it in gear maybe?

Maybe start by looking at why the engine cuts out?

Put the rear on jack stands so you can jump the starter solenoid and crank the engine in drive and find out what is missing - does it lose fuel or fire?

In my manuals it states that the Transmission Warning Light is not on European cars?

Therefore this could be a function of the Japanese ECU.

A better measure of the issue would be the fault codes in the ECU or TCU?
