My girlfriend has them on her one and manages to follow me most places offroad.

In the end i just head for deep mud, it seams to be the only thing that stops her.

were moving to the country in a couple of months to a house down a farm track so lots of potholes and mud when it rains and a fire road on the way to my work.

Are you gonna use it much on road? Is it just for fun or work related?
You'll come a long way just by fitting a rear locker and getting some MT tyres. Consider BFG KM2 or Maxxis Trepador.
Also, if work related and driving many km's both on and offroad, consider getting an ARB air locker. More expensive than the cheaper Lockright. But much more comfortable.

Consider getting an ARB locker from continental europe. Much cheaper than buying from UK. Of course shipping is a bit more expensive. But you should be able to save around £150

is the dif locked all the time then?
Almost.
It is locked when torque is applied to the rear axle, as in gear and clutch is engaged. Meaning that roundabouts and sharp corners needs to be taken with clutch depressed.

Errr really? I don't think that is right. Not for an arb? Or anything else for that matter?

Of course it doesn't apply to the arb locker. But it does to the lockright.
