We've been running 205/80/16's for a while and did not have a problem with 60mph with the old transfer box or the Rocklobster!
Would love to get a rocklobster fitted... money isnt the issue, its finding the correct bits to give to Rob Storr. Even trying to contact him direct I have been unsucessful to ask if he has any off the shelf.... Then I would have to fit the damn thing and I just donot have the time.
As much as I would HATE to, I fear a Landrover is probably the only way forward as things are so much more readily available and cheaper... plus there are loads of specialists out there, and I can have a V8... time for a beer I fear !!
How dare you even think about it!!! Shame on you!!!
Only joking - well a bit - I know what you're saying about the lure of the V8, especially as you have had TVR's but Landrover V8's would not stand up to your wading tastes - the poxy Dizzy is at the front ready to get soaked - so you'd have to Megajolt it or Megasquirt it - the country's leading specialist in Megasquirt happens to be in my club! Then you'll need LPG to cut the costs and the tank would have to go in the boot.
Seriously though - either speak to Rob Butler at ORA or Rockwatt (half the price of the others - about £500) as it's not that bigger deal.
But leave the green oval alone - there's a reason why parts are so easy to get - they need them more often!!!

And I agree you should leave the green oval alone!!! Parts for them may be cheaper and easyer to get but I have spent a small fortune on my disco! Hopefully I wont have to spend so much on the Jimny!

Rockwatt is a guy on difflock who does rocklobster gearboxes but I think you have to supply him with the gearboxes etc to do the job
Kirkynut or Martin will confirm if I am right or not as they both have transfer boxes by Rockwatt
