hi does anyone know the colour coding for the road springs on a standard jimny , ive hunted round the shed and found 10 different springs in 3 different lengths oddly

they are coded with 2 colours on each so they are position spercific anyone know which goes where ?

Gen3 or Gen4? I have a set of Gen4 springs in the garage I can check.

whats the difference between 3 and 4 it was a 2005 model i think

I have never driven a Gen3, but it seems some people thing the Gen4 is softer sprung?

Very little difference between gen3 and gen4. I think the ride difference is mainly "old suspension verses new suspension". Putting new shocks and springs on a gen3 can transform the ride. That's often why people say that lift kits improve the suspension, they are comparing the new set up with a stiffened up old set.

Don't know the colours off hand but the shorter ones go in the back, then the middle one goes near side front and the long one is off side front. That said all springs fit in all positions and putting a pair of medium fronts in the back will make it look less Carolina Squat.
