I have a year 2000 G13BB jimny manual transmission, I've heard the automatic transmission versions transfer case low raitio is a lower than the manual transmission version
Can anyone confirm that, if they are different how do i find out the part numbers and if they are interchangeable

All of the manually operated transfer boxes (UK/EU), regardless of transmission, have the same gearing.

Thanks zukebob, just that i was talking to someone who initially had reduction gears in transfer case but couldn't handle the noise then fitted a transfer case out of an auto jimny ,I've spoken to other people and backs up what you said

Wish I had a good suggestion about the noise. Yakusa has reported the same issue after a regear of his transfer case. I haven't seen any recent updates from him about the noise but he may add a comment to the post.

The 2005+ Auto's Transfer Box is lower, but it's "electric" (buttons and actuator) so I'm unsure how anyone fits that into a manual (transfer box) stick model?

I suppose the actual gears inside might be interchangeable?... :unsure:

You could of course "just" change the diffs to lower the gearing and compensate for larger tyres -

Later diffs (final ratio) in an earlier Jim'

That's esactly what I've done with The Boogie -

As I'm running 16" GV alloy wheels with ~ 29" tyres...
