Yes, some people have already fitted just the OME shocks and kept everything else standard.

I'd second that. My trailmaster dampers offer a spine shattering ride with my lowest track springs on but the same dampers with my road springs are controlled yet supremely comfortable. So I can see that the stronger springs most firms offer for a lift will be similar but taller than my lowered ones and the ride will be harder too. The dampers need some compliance in the springs to control otherwise they might as well be rigid.
