I got a despatch email this morning from JimnyBits to say the above conversion spacer had been despatched...
Re-reading the item description, I noticed it said "A machined adapter that allows the use of a jimny rear propshaft with our SJ / Samurai transfer box conversion kit"... So I opened a support ticket asking what props their kit (which is currently listed on their store) used as front propshafts...
I quickly got an email back saying that their kit uses standard props front and rear... so I'm heading in the right direction! :woohoo:
Hopefully they'll bring their kit back to market soon, as fitting an SJ box using old / obolete parts is a pain, and probably puts a lot of people off...
I know it could be argued that the standard Jimny prop may not be quite as strong as an SJ one, but they are plentiful supply!

Interesting installation video of a spined transfer box mount (found on an item on the JimnyBits store) -
I've got a spine an order too.. from "redacted"

        Looks an alright design
But the spine needs a step in it
When he slides the longer mount behind,it pulls the spine away from a flush fit
You can see at 10:28 possible oil leakage

Well spotted, I thought that was a little strange too?...
Useful inspiration though

That’s the sort of thing I want (to make)...
But it’s 400 Euros with the conversion / prop spacer(s) - www.hm4x4.com/en/suzuki-jimny-installation-kit-t-case
Plus shipping....
