Guilherme:
Your Jimny should be a type 9. You won't be able to find a Suzuki service manual for that year. Starting around 2007 or 2008 the Suzuki service manual was only available online through a Suzuki portal.

I have a similar situation to yours. I currently live in the Philippines and purchased a 2015 Jimny. In most market areas, ABS and airbags were required in 2015. They weren't in the Philippines and the Jimnys sold here had neither. The best I can do to answer your question is share my experiences with you.

I do have the manuals for the years through type 6 Jimnys. What I have found so far is that the items covered in the manuals that are common with mine (eg push-button transfer) the manual is accurate. Wiring color codes don't always match and you may sometimes stumble on things that aren't common with the manual. An example of discovering a difference is that after 2014, the transfer control module and the 4WD controller were combined into one controller. Aside from those few differences, the manuals I have have covered about 98 - 99% of what I have needed.

Hopefully this is of some help.
Bob

Welcome to the forum. What Bob says is correct it's not possible to obtain a specific manual for such a late Jimny. That said with the available manuals and a bit of mechanical ability there is enough information available to keep ahead of the game. Also this forum has a wealth of knowledge and expertise so if you do get stuck someone on here is likely to be able to help.

Thanks guys!

Just to understand this manufacture thing about Jimny. Is it made in England also, or imported from Japan?

Suzuki does motorcycles in Brazil, a lot of them.Cars are different.

Suzuki was assembling Jimnys in Brazil until 2003 then they just went out of the country without notice. They came back by 2011, the first Jimnys was 100% imported from Japan, then they started to assemble in a factory in Goiás (in the middle on Brazil, middle of nowhere... but next to our capital Brasília), by 2015 they sold the plant to the Chinese (JAC motors), and moved production to a shared a plant with Mitsubishi (don´t know what that means...).

I will inspect to see if I find clues about VIN, and the origin of those parts. Maybe will be easier to go to a dealer and just ask.

We are based in England. Our UK models are imported from Japan.
