Hi Keith.
Replacing the clutch is a job I have yet to experience so I can't offer any tips. Like most jobs on the Jimny I doubt it will be difficult other than the discomfort of working under the vehicle, rather than the luxury of standing when working on a raised platform.
I am sure others have experience of doing this job so will be interested in the replies also. Alternatively it's not too expensive to get a local clutch specialist to replace it, I believe Max headroom got his replaced this way (or have I imagined this?) so may have an idea of cost.
Anyhow still check the cable adjustment first (it's free).
Here is a picture of the cable adjustment Nut (black bit) on the gearbox.

Yep it was me
My neighbour also got her Jimny clutch replaced by the same firm Mr Clutch in Swindon but there may be one near you
Furthermore two SAAB owners I know and a colleague with Landrover Freelander are all happy customers.

Ok did not dream it. I have used a local Mr Clutch to do our Nissan, also happy with the work and very quick.

Welcome along!
A new cable is cheap enough and easy to fit, especially if a new clutch is going in for it to be disconnected anyway. So have a new one fitted with the clutch to be sure everything is like new and trouble free.
