Hi people.

I am puzzled.

The Suzuki dealer has told me that the automatic transmission fluid level is not checked on scheduled services because the auto box is a sealed unit and has no dip stick.

I wonder why the owner’s manual specifies the correct automatic transmission fluid is SUZUKI AFT3317 OR Mobil AFT3309 or equivalent to DEXTRON-III?

How do I maintain the automatic transmission fluid?

Regards.

That can't be right? There has to be a service schedule for an automatic transmission even if it is at 100k miles dextron 3 doesn't last indefinitely.

I think someone is telling you porkies!

From the manual (downloadable version on Suzuki site, which seems to differ slightly from hardcopy) for 'normal' driving conditions in the EU, inspect fluid level every 24 months or 25k miles, replace every 99k miles.

For 'severe' driving conditions in the EU it's inspect every 12 months or 12500miles and replace every 18000miles.
