Thanks for the replies gentlemen.
Yes it's a 2001 soft top auto.
It started with a flat battery after I hadn't used it for a few weeks.
I put a battery conditioner / charger when I noticed the loose terminals.
They're still a bit loose after tightening them up.
If it turns out to be a duff battery I'll try and get one with the normal T1 terminals.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The soft tops are Spanish built, so probably came with the SAE connectors and take a different battery to the Japanese ones.

I've left it charging so I'll stick a meter on it when it's fully charged.
