The Defender will take some time to complete, so needed another practical 4x4 to run around with.
We are also prone to hurricanes here and I am the owner of an Amateur radio Station which is part of our emergency response preparedness team. I am lifting the Jimny in case of flooding etc., will be equipped with emergency communication radio gear and GPS tracking.
Cheers.

Also not a lot of work for me too Lambert, I love cars, working on them and used to have a Euro Performance garage.
If the teflon was cheaper here I would have actually machined my own spacers, both the body and spring lift types. I have a lathe here and a milling machine, love making stuff too

Ah. Good erstwhile reason. Just be aware that it can get very expensive once you get into serious modifications. Hurricanes don't sound fun. Be careful out there!

The 1300 seems fairly ok for now, speed limits here are 80 KPH on the highway, most do 100-110KPH.
I was toying with the idea of doing a Toyota twin cam engine swap for a bit more torque for towing a small trailer.
If I cant find a half decent engine, I will more than likely go with the Baleno 1600 swap later.
Cheers.
