Hi Mates,

Been busy working on prepping my Jimny for paint job, was not on the forums lately.

I ordered spacers for a 2" Body Lift and about to order 2" spring spacers as a temporary suspension lift until I decide on springs, shocks etc.
I intend on changing the brake hoses, wanted to know if I will need the 2" extended ones from Jimny Bits for example.

I see some guys say do and some said not necessary, as Indicated I wanted to go with stainless steel braided lines anyway but needed your input on getting the longer ones.

Cheers and thanks Mates.

Definitely. Effectively you are moving the mount points 4 inches further apart. Are you looking at damper relocation too if you are using spring spacers?

Hi Lambert, I will purchase longer dampers. So I have to get 2" longer brake lines as well.

Thanks.

You need to match the brake lines to the lift, especially if you are considering removing the front anti roll bar as it will allow the front axle to move even further on full droop. The last thing you want is to have a brake line ripped off because it was too short.

I will not remove any of the ARB's
I wont be doing any extreme offroading with the Jimny, I will do that with my Defender when its completed. :)

Ok. But that then begs the question why bother with the body lift on the Jimny and even the lift? I'm not saying don't do it because it is your car and your choice, it just seems a lot of work if you have another off road car?
