just a curious question
and before anyone states the obvious
yes I know what a supercharger is and what and does having one on a lotus a few year ago
our jimny sound like its got the noise from a supercharger when revving it
so any one tell me what it is
is it the main fan front of engine or something else

Ther shouldn't be anything like that. It should be nice and quiet. It's going to be a case of using a long screwdriver as a stethoscope to the ear and closely listen to each rotating component on the engine in turn. However I wouldn't expect any of them to be giving trouble on such a new car. Alternatively it could be electrical noise coming through the stereo from a bad connection or failing suppressor but again the car is not really old enough.

engine is sweet
if you stand a meter or two away from jimny with our lass revving it
it sounds like a old type of fan noise like on old fords
but to me more like a Landcruiser or Mitsubishi
I take it the air scoop is just a filter thanks john
The fan roars, more so when the engine is cold (all viscous fans do, I never figured that out, you'd expect it not to drive when it is cold, maybe the fluid takes a while to get the right idea?)
I can't say I ever heard a noise like a supercharger from my gen 3, the gen 4 has a less reliable electric fan to shave 0.0001g off the emissions so it doesn't do it.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
