Isn't the 3 option supposed to be automatic on with the high beams? Or do you also want the option of not having the bar on, while the high beams are on?
Ah yes. That is pretty much the same. Difference from what I described is that it's a manual operation to switch between mode 1 and 3, and you have the option of keeping the bar off, even when high beams are on.
Both options are available with what you have as harness. But you will need either a new button, an extra relay, or both. The Diode he uses is an OK idea to have there, just to make sure nothing goes wrong.
You just have to decide exactly what you want, and what functions in each step. 1 and 2 you have defines, just not fully defined the 3.
