Sounds like the best way to do this!
Be careful not to overheat the coffee though

I would not be putting a bearing in an oven if you want it to have all of its grease in it and in a useable state.
Just buy a press or pay someone with a press a nominal fee to do it for you.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Grandmothers & eggs and things- but don't forget to put the brake backplate on before the bearing
