JImny sway bar disconnects? was created by Mraz
Hi guys.
I removed my sway bar today to try driving without and see how it copes. Well, it drives like a boat!! I like it for off road bot on road it's just awful. Did anyone put sway bar disconnects on a Jimny and how did he do it?

Someone else suggested just disconnecting one side's drop-link off the axle and tie it out of the way for offroad use, and for onroad use just bolt it back up again?

I just took mine off and never looked back. Yes its a bit different on the road at speed but no worse than the removal truck I drive for work so I suppose I am just used to it.

First I was thinking of somethinig like S200KYS said but now im thinking I'd rather put some quick disconnect tie rods secured with a pin, something like these:

Problem is I have no idea how this "tie rod end part" is actually called and how to translate it to Croatian so I can call SKF and order some.

Those are called rose joints. Be careful with them as they have no give at all so any force they experience is transferred directly to what they are fixed to which isn't always a good idea. Also they're notoriously loud once they gain a bit of wear.
