Does anyone know how the front fog lamps attach to the 3rd gen. front bumper (used on Jimnys 2012-2018)?
I know that on the two earlier front bumper models, the front fog lamps do not attach directly to the bumper. Instead you need special metal brackets (which are different for 1st gen. and for 2nd gen. front bumper) onto which you mount the fog lamps, and then the entire assembly screws onto the predefined mounting points on the bumper. So the brackets are the ones which mount to the bumper.
However, I read somewhere that the 3rd gen front bumper has integrated plastic fog lamp brackets in it, so you just need to screw fog lamps directly onto the bumper. Can anyone confirm this?

I am planning to visit a dead Jimny in a vehicle junkyard in order to remove the wiring for the front fog lamp from it.
The Jimny was made in 2010, with 2nd gen, front bumper.
Does anyone know where the wiring for the fog lamps in the engine bay goes to, and where the wiring for the switch in the cabin goes to?
I need to get prepared before I go there, as they won't give me too much time to fiddle with the car.

Sorry I haven't had to take mine apart to that degree so I don't know the wiring location.

The wiring for the front fog lights ends behind the headlights and is a cable not plugged into anything. I spotted mine easily.
The Gen3 front bumpers have the fog light attachment points already there.
I do not know where the fog light cables end in the dashboard. I would expect that they end directly behind the place, where the switch would go.

I had removed the front bumper from my car (built in 2013) and I could not find any wiring behind it.
Should I then remove the front headlamps to see if an unused cable is behind?
Is there a risk of disturbing the balance of the headlamps when demounting them?
