Just thought I would bottom out this thread with my issues, symptoms and fixes. (With a big thanks to the big jimny members who suggested fixes)

The jimny kept snapping fan belts over and over, when a lot of load was placed on the alternator (radio, lights, screen heaters ect) the belt would squeel badly.

It was suggested we swap the crankshaft pully, after removing this pully you could see that the rubber Cush between the inner and outer ring had Come away due to age.

This caused the belt to vibrate as it pulled, meaning the friction was much less on the other pullys, so when the altonator got hard to turn it just slipped around it, eventually heating up / snagging and snapping.

After swapping this crankshaft pully the car has been good as good for around 4 months now.

Brill job!

Thanks everyone
