IAT Sensor - where does it go ? was created by samui
Hi All

I just bought a 2005 1.3 4x4 soft top jimny that is missing the IAT sensor from the air box...problem is that i cant see where to connect this to after i buy a new sensor !
i dont see any hanging plugs that would help...diagram in service manual only shows filter side -- can someone help with pics if possible !

thanks in advance.

You have sort of answered your own question. The IAT sensor (intake air temperature sensor) lives at the back of the air box, May differ a little on the different models/engines on each jimny, But should be there. Is the old one still installed and plugged in? If so there would be no available plug?

It's been fettled just a tad.

The plug connector is on quite a long bit of loom as i recall, So it may well of dropped down under the inlet manifold/fuse box or been tucked up out of the way by the previous owner.

It's been fettled just a tad.
