Keep your eyes peeled for an Auto VVT being broken. The transfer box on the autos is 30% lower geared than the manuals, and spot on for 31s. Rare though!

Yes this has been on my mind too, an auto VVT box. Haven't seen one come up though.

I've been out and disconnected the rear prop at the diff end. There is approx 30mm clearance with the prop fully compressed, so I was thinking that a 25mm spacer would do nicely.
But, that only leaves about 5mm play, i'm not sure if this matters though? I don't want it to be forced back in towards the transfer box, if that's possible?
Maybe an 18mm would be better. I think it only needs to push the other end of the prop back in a bit towards the t-box.
What do you think?

i would go with a 20mm
Jack
just looked on B4V stand corrected no 20
i'm sure someone will be along to recommend the 18

Just an update. I fitted an 18mm spacer to the diff end of the rear prop and the droning/vibrations I was getting have disappeared. I've covered a fair few miles this weekend too, I think this size spacer has been enough to compress the prop a bit. I'll see how it goes when I get down some lanes soon.
On a side note, i've fitted the 31's. I'd built myself up for a very sluggish drive but to be honest I haven't really noticed a great difference. It's still responsive and copes well in my opinion, I haven't had a chance to use low yet though.
Just got to trim the arches now as catching then i'll be ready for some proper fun
