Oil in spark plug tubes was created by safarimny
Hello from Kenya everyone,
Was servicing the Jimny (with VVT) and found oil in the spark plug tubes.
Took rocker cover off and found damaged rocker cover gasket (which I was aware of and meaning to replace as there was oil trickling down the side) and 4 other gaskets. One shown in picture.
It is part number 15 in Suzuki drawing below (Part Number 11179-69G01)
It seems in addition to the rocker cover gasket I will need to replace the GASKET, SPARK PLUG HOLE
I have tried Suzuki Milton Keynes - UK and Suzuki Kenya. Neither seem to be able to find this part on their systems.
Has anyone else experienced this and can help?
Many thanks in advance
Safarimny.

I ran some loctite 515 around either side of mine (and the cover gasket itself) all leaks fixed.

Thank you for your reply OllieNZ. I had done the Loctite fix about 3 years ago. Ran about 60,000Km on this.
I think this time it's better to install new gaskets. I am hoping someone knows the UK part number for them so I can order new ones from UK. No hope getting them in Kenya. The dealers here get one shipment from Japan a year!

Might try ebay? Or pming the owner of this site Martin directly. I picked up my gasket set (for the g13bb ) on ebay. Even with new gaskets mine was leaking again after a few months, I'm not sure if the m13 is quite as bad for this as the g13 but I'd still be tempted to loctite the new gaskets regardless.safarimny wrote: Thank you for your reply OllieNZ. You have the correct part number and they are widely available on the Suzuki part systems. Be aware that some dealers parts people do not make much effort. £8.75 each from me plus postage (£2.20 in UK)

And in defence of Suzuki, I asked the question at 20:15 on a Sunday night and got the answer at 20:30!
