Many thanks to all, I'll give it a go.
By the way, just knocked up a new vac system to be routed through engine bay, using 3/16 copper and a drilled lump of brass as a t piece, with pipes soldered in, will get a pic when I work out how to do it!

o/s hub engaged,.
It had me fooled cos i jacked it up and wheel seemed free (front prop not turning)
But when on ground the front prop was locked so i thought the transfer had not disengaged.
D'oh!
Anywa    y, it's now got shiny new avm manuals. Test drove it (daughter greenpig's car) and it all worked a treat. Showed her how to use hubs and 4wd, so.......let it snow!!
In the morning however she'll find her car covered in s***. Ha Ha Ha!!

Showed her how to use hubs etc , THEN took it for a test drive without her.
Spun the front wheels in the mud and covered it in mud. She'll be bouncing in the morning when she sees it. Oh joy!
