A lot of the oil was cleaned off by the garage when the seal was replaced. I'm getting a lot of vibration/reverberation at low rpm now. It's going into the garage on Tuesday and then I'll see if I can get hold of a used prop once they have confirmed it for me.

I had that problem on my old Jimny but I just cleaned the prop but that goes into the gearbox output shaft with brake and clutch cleaner then put silicone sealer all over the end of it inside the prop and on the uj as well and that stopped the leak. Much cheaper than buying a new prop

Are the props the same across the years or will I need one from a similar aged Jimny?

You need one from a VVT 2005/2006 on.
The gearbox is different and the prop is a different length.
The oil seal is standard across all gearboxes.

The gearbox on the VVT Jimny is the third type they have fitted.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
