I've been thinking about the Jimny ... oh oh ... this post goes on a bit
I have a clunk that occurs when either pulling away, or on slow full lock, at first thought maybe it was the rear 3 section boarded out floor, so took it out and made a new single piece one.
still clunks
so I'm thinking it maybe the radius arm bushes and/or worn bolt holes.
also the Jimny death wobble has returned albeit a Jimny shimny at the moment, but as I've recently changed the knigpins and all the track rod ends, I'm thinking maybe worn front (leading) radius arm bushes/bolt holes could be the cause.
If I proceed to change bushes, would it be OK to use castor corrected ones with my current 1.5 inch spacer and shock extension lift, as I will eventually fit a 2 inch AVO lift.
Also possibly a dumb question but do you need to use castor corrected bushes on the rear arms or just the front ?
and which type to get ? they all look pretty expensive
flo-flex Two piece castor corrected Bushes
Super Pro Polyurethane Caster Correction Bushes
original type castor correction bushes (require press to fit)
what do you think
going to order some new bolts and investigate the holes/bushes.

I can't believe it would hurt to put corrected bushes on alot of people put them on a 2 inch lift so your only talking half-inch less on yours at the moment Halford
as for the bushes I've got some of Daves waiting to go on as I'm new to this too I can't comment on others until I have experienced them sorry

The two part bushes are easy to fit and still soft I can't speak for any of the others. You could experiment with the poly bushes easily as the centres are turnable until you clamp them up and maybe run a touch less correction if you feel it's too much, whereas the press in type will be a bit more one shot.

I too have a wobble, and I'm also not convinced about the soundness of my holes on my front radius arms. I've seen some pictures on here of elongated holes before... let me know if you have any joy...

well I've started by getting the wobble kit, with replacement OEM rubbers bushes as mine were listed as as those original unmodified ones as "possibly" causing the death wobble
getting them fitted on Thursday so shall report back (not fitting the shims yet as I want to see how if bushes affect things first).
I have had some feedback which indicates that the the castor correct rubber bushes give a better feel, less harsh ... which is what I suspected, suppose it's not rocket science, and for a mainly road based car, this matters to me personally.
