Cosmetic maybe?, jimnys look a lot better with the wider stance (personal opinion), but steering doesn't feel as good and wheel bearings can fail prematurely.
If you are thinking of 10mm spacers, make sure you have over 10mm of threaded stud showing before fitting .
I have around 4mm of stud showing so fitting 10mm spacers (or anything over 2mm-ish) would be dangerous on mine
