Don't Panic, a tyre question was created by Al.
I would like to concider a tyre size of, 235/70/2015, I use my car daily and so does the wife, meaning I don't want to mess with the speedo.
How much rise will I need to go, personally I'm looking at the 2" trail master kit. I don't really want to raise the body, having read I would need to reattach bumper.
Also, anyone around Edinburgh that's recommended for fitting rock sliders, I like the look of the ones in the shop, but they need welding, i can't weld for

Oooo! That's an odd size for a Jimny.
People often fit 235/75/15's and depending on tread depths as remoulds come up bigger than new tyres, they need a 2-3" suspension lift.
Now a 235/75/15 is meant to be 28.88" tall and a 235/70/15 is meant to be 27.95" tall. So there's nearly an inch in it.
I reckon you ought to be fine but you'll be the first I know of to use this size.
Most people who want a slightly bigger tyre but nothing too mad to make the car sluggish or put the speedo out use a 215/75/15 which is 27.7" tall, so not much different to your 235/70/15 suggested size.
In fact Suzuki make models for markets such as the Brazilian market with 215/75/15 from new.
I know it's only an extra 10mm either side of the tyre but I think I would go down the well trodden route of 215/75/15 to help keep the bump steer to a minimum and not provoke Death Wobble.
There seems limited choice in 235/70/15 too. There's loads of choice in 215/75/15.
I'd be interested in what you choose though.

Hi Kirkynut
First I will admit to being totally novice to this, so everything it new.
Speedo and clearance was why I started looking at 235/70/15. Now I may be wrong, but they should fit the original rims, and not require spacers. 15mm ether side ?. I'm thinking a 2" lift kit, and have my eyes on the Trail master set, I would also do the camber and rear brake conversion at the same time.
I'm trying to compromise, as the wife does not want me to go over the top on the lift.
The mechanic side I can do, and have most tools I would need.

I think they'll fit but think 215/75/15 would be a better choice.
The Trail Master kit is supposed to be excellent so I think it will make you happy.
Drive it lifted before you buy castor correction bushes as you might not think you need them. If you do there's nothing lost.
Super Pro are expensive but good quality. A bit like Trail Master.
Don't listen to people who say Poly Bushes don't flex well. They flex lovely.
