You're some distance from my father in law who rebuilds starters and alternators for a living but if you call him (Dave) www.192.com/atoz/business/southend-on-se...c6-07bf5b6c0bbe/ugc/

he might be able to fix it if you post it to him.

He's not at that workshop now as he's back mobile again but might be able to help you by post.

when the batery warning light came on on my old jimny, there was also a wizzing sound, like air coming out of a puntured hose...turned out the alternator pulley was shot and was slipping...

All done now and the lights gone out

That's the trouble with the Jimny, it is so small that everything looks easy to get to, but isn't when you try.

Not like my Other Car, where everything looks impossible to get to, and is
