Yes your correct Gus, When I've done it in the past I ran a drill through the hole to open it up to the right size.

Too true... I've STILL got some Subaru extended studs in stock, as I too discovered the splined section was too big, even though the threaded bit is ok...

So run out 2mm like Jezz did with a drill, knock these old things in from the back, and get out the welder....sorted :whistle:
