Just take the bulbs out for the reverse lamps this will get you by or there is the connector for the reverse lamp switch located on top of the gearbox bit fiddly to get at.are they on just when its running/ignition on or al the time with the keys out ?
Somethings deffo up id take the bulbs out to get you by id also be onto the garage giving them a bit more of a hard time its something they have done whilst carrying out the matrix change its not like your booking it in for the first time with that fault.
