champion, sounds exactly the same as the transit connect, side plates followed by rear crossmember, then tighten up, the bars even look the same.
I do still have the old vitara towbar, but I very much doubt that would fit, and for the cost of a new one, theres not much point trying lol.

Yeah the cheaper fixed flange ones are usually around the £100 mark but removable ones are not much more if you avoid the genuine Suzuki of course lol
It's up to you which one you buy and how worried you are about the tiny amount the towball covers the number plate.
Plenty of Jimny pics on the net with towbars fitted so you can judge yourself.
Good luck

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThis is just for illustration. I can't see the small plates /tabs with nuts welded on that slide in to the hollow chassis but most towbars follow the same principle.

I've ordered a tow trust towbar, the flange type, but is removable with the two underside bolts.
I prefer this over the swan neck, as for the most part, it can be stored inside the vehicle, and I can have a stainless steel guarding plate fitted on it to stop an over enthusiastic trailer damaging the car.
lastly, if the hitch height is too low, there is a degree of adjustment with this design, whilst staying within the letter of the law.
Collecting the car tomorrow, so should be able to fit this at the weekend.
Spoke to Suzuki, and they confirmed that the car does not need a bypass relay, which simplifies things somewhat, not to mention, reduces the build cost.
