 Even though I've measured and it definitely won't fit, for that sort of money I'd be buying an LS3 V8 crate engine and finding any way possible to make it work.

Why the V8? Get a crate 1.8 Zook engine, get it fitted and remapped, then take the family to the Bahamas with the change...

The g series is more involved gearbox adapter, engine mount plus a few other bits
The m series is easiest bolts straight up
All depends which engine you have
