I didnt realise that was your boot Chris,i thought you saw it on the web. Me and er in doors really like it and have agreed to do the same to ours in the summer. The only difference being to cut a rectangle out over the area where the jack for easy access and maybe at the top end b the ehind the seats fit 6x9 speakers coming up from underneath for easier wiring. What do you think mate ;)

It's already got a hatch for the jack, Mel, you just can't see it for the rubber (can't see the wood for the trees, you might say!!!)
Not familiar with the physicalities of a 6x9 speaker, but without looking I suspect you may have to build some kind of pod to mount each one in....send me a diagram of speaker with dimensions and I'll have a think and see if I can come up with a workable plan.

Cheers buddy. What i was thinking was where your back seats meet the sheet of wood pf the floor lining, there is a overhang where the footwell is, router speaker holes and then fit the speakers from underneath.. I dont think im explaining myself very well am i, sorry buddy :(

I can see where you're coming from now, Mel....the marine ply floor doesn't actually go all the way to the back of the seats, I left a 15cm gap "just in case", ...was a good move for once, that little space is dead handy!
You just can't tell it's there from my photo.
6x9's would be a nice little addition in there and the big empty space you are going to create would act like an auditorium...I like the idea mate, might even poach it for myself!

hi all
i am planning doing something similar

i have removed the rear seats and I’m trying to decide what material to use for the floor. Most probably i will go with a marine plywood with either carpet or rubber mat on top.

My question is, have you secured the wood or the frame on the car?
is it necessary to screw or stick the floor on the actual body of the car?

I will have a small dog cage plus my hunting stuff in there,

what do you think/suggest?
