I chose a more expensive branded one as opposed to the "bottle jack" ones as I decided in my mind that the "10 or 20" tonne ratings on those is likely to be based soley on the performance as a bottle jack and doesn't apply to the framework etc which is probably as cheap as possible whereas the Sealy one probably actually achieves 10 tonnes with ease and will not fall to bits within a few weeks.

I love kit like that and was wondering (before I read the above) why you chose that particular one as from what was said 10T would be enough.

I was first thinking of adapting one to break tyre beads.
