Good thing is to start with the springs.
I've written emails to Trail Master, Tough Dog ARB (Old Man Emu), King and ORA asking for Spring rates.
Got exact rates from ARB, Trail Master and King. All others were unable to tell what rates their springs.
The shocks are the most expensive and important part, but the springs still need to match the weight of the vehicle.
But when springs are in place you can begin looking for shocks, and what length they need to be.
Or buy shocks that match a given suspension lift. Like Trail Master +2" or 3", OME that are +40mm etc..
Amada Extreme have a remote reservoir shock for a 3" lift on a Jimny. I'm considering trying a set of these shocks

Hi Tom,
That's very useful information.
Would you be able to start a new thread with the spring rates and lengths? It's information that is very hard to come by, yet fairly essential for anyone wanting to get a good suspension setup.

No problem Busta. I'll work something out
Actually, it's not that hard to. Just wrote a couple of emails, asked about length and rates.
But sure it easier to read on a forum
