Rear prop shaft was created by lb2e04x
Hi all,
well after driving about listening to a chink a chink from what I thought was the exhaust, turns out to be the rear prop shaft.
Got it up on stands and had a look see. The front end of the shaft appears to go into a cup which is the part making the sound.
Is this part mendable or do I need a new shaft?
thanks
Dave

Yup new one needed, the front joint is not a serviceable part. I sent mine to Dave Mac propshafts and they made me one with renewable uj's at both ends and grease nipples for the uj's and slide - I did post a pic on here somewhere. It has been running for some time now with no problems at all.

Hello, my friend Santiago lubricate the Jimny CV joint
Suzuki do not provides rubber dust cover, a generic one is used
Use only grease for CV joints (Molykote Dow corning BR2 plus, or equivalent)
Many (one in each Groove) Nylon Cable Ties over rubber is essential to avoid the centrifugate rubber dust cover.
In the photo they are insufficient Cable Ties
Cheers

Thank you all.
Looks like another one needed.
Yes please to all offers, who is closest to Shaftesbury or Salisbury where I work.
Happy to pay squillions, how much for it and postage?
thanks Gus for the repair breakdown but a replacement looks easier.
