What general maintenance/emergency kit/tools do you folks keep with you in your cars at all times? I'm trying to work out a system for myself. : )

Small, cheap, portable tyre inflator. Allows me to play around with tyre pressures when at work in forestry areas.
Dropping pressures has saved a work day on a few occasions when I've been on dodgy ground. And because my work sites are fairly long drives away from home, I wouldn't have been able to drive back home on tar without a way of re-inflating.

I dont think they need a land anchor lol their jimny is standard
I carry: tow ropes, shackles, electric tyre pump, small spade, folding saw, loppers, couple of adjustable spanners, wire cutters, cable ties, electrical tape, swiss army knife, head torch, led lenser "mag light", basic first aid kit, local paper os map, can of wd40 and brake cleaner............probably forgot a few items out of my "box of magic".
Really depends what your doing............I go laning quite alot so spade loppers etc are handy to have, you can dig yourself out of trouble and make bush mats to use as waffle boards;)

The big question is what sort of driving are you doing?
For road use it's no different to any other car. Make sure your spare tyre is good, the jack is present and you have everything you need to undo the wheel nuts.
I also carry a tow strop and shackle, used more for helping others out than myself!
