Snapped dipstick in a M13 DOHC and clutch cost? was created by minibbb
Evening ladies and gents
Viewed a nice jimny for sale today but the dipstick had snapped off in the block and not enough showing to pull it out. Any ideas how to resolve and what it might cost?
Also the clutch was graunchy and heavy- looks like it needs a new one. Any idea what I should pay for a new one fitted?

Take the rocker cover off and the stick will either come out with it or show enough for you to grab, £200 ish should see you a clutch fitted

Oh and a knackered clutch should explain a fairly stiff gear change shouldn't it?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

If the pedal is grauchy and stiff, it probably needs a new clutch cable: about £100 supplied & fitted.
(IIRR the cable is about £70 from Suzuki, no-one does a cheap £20 replacement)
