Hi all

Im sure this has been spoken about lots but i thought i'd ask again.

Im looking at a engine conversion. Want either the 1.6 petrol or a diesel engine.

My questions are....
1. Which 1.6 petrol engine is straight swap for mine?
2. If i did go diesel which engine is best suited?
3. With the diesel engine what else would i need?

I have a 2002 02 model soft top jimny with a 16v engine if that helps?

go diesel speck to davecc about the Isuzu conversion, pug conversion is to heavy, the vw motor is a great motor but hard to find a good one for a good price the 1.6 in to a soft top can cause probelme as most are not the same as a hard top luckerly mine is the soft top has different cam sensor lugs and a crank sensor and the hard top doesn't I maybe slightly out on some of this info but some one will correct if im wrong

I was going make a topic and ask pretty much the same questions lol, ile be keeping my eye on this to see wat ppl say, I was wondering if the 2.0 td frm the vitara fits in a Jim???
