Evening troops,
While driving home tonight I noticed that the centre of my instrument cluster was not lit???
right and left hand sides were normal but the centre section, from 70mph to 4000revs was dark.
Any ideas?
03 JLX by the way.

Blown bulb! You've a pain in the arse job of getting at it I'd imagine but I've not really looked into it.
Try switching the lights on and giving the dash above it a hard slap with the palm of a hand and see if magic makes it work again! I've had it on other cars before. Possibly just a bad connection, nonetheless a pain!

does that give you access to the back of the dials? is that where the annoying door beeper thingy is? (the beep beep when you leave the doors open with the keys in the ignition)

just had a quick look at the instrument cluster, do you just unscrew the 2 screws that point upwards (in the reses where the dials are)? does this then release the whole black surround that goes round the dials and heater controls?
really want to stop the annoying beeping when you leave the keys in with the door open, have tried locating wires that other people have mentioned and they dont seem to apply to my J
i have read on here somewhere that the actuall "buzzer" is behind the dials.....................................is this correct?
