That's at a standstill for 4L ;)

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

As I don't offroad I've never used 4L but I have the same symptoms eg flashing light, beeps if I don't press the clutch fully to the floor. Just thought it might be a solution?? Apart from that 4H goes in lovely on the button when required in the winter :)

Got one of the oldest Jims in the country and it goes from 2 to 4 to 4L any time any place anywhere so long as all wheels are in a straight line and you aren't going too fast for 4L. Mind you its good old fashioned levers, not this pressy bottony stuff which I dont trust one bit!

Mind you, always gives a little crunch on selecting 4L, stationary, moving, whatever. Just lets you know its in there!

If its a 07 plate it obviously is an elecy transfer box. I have just rebuilt one and they realy aren't that complicated. the only connections on the box are a motor plug and two proximity switches, there may be an ECU plug I cant remember. The motor drives and knows where it is from the switches controlled through the ECU. If one of the switches is faulty of more lightly it just has a poor connection it will not register and so in effect no 4WDL. In essence pull off all connections on the T=Box, inspect and clean them before going any further.

Hope this helps
Ian
