Hi all

Just a quick one, im going to drill out the rear lower shock mount bolts and replace with nut and bolt. Can anyone tell me the size and lenght of the bolt I will need. Thanks Andy

I used m12 x 170mm high tensile with nyloc nuts

M12 x 70mm METRIC FINE Bottom,
M12 x 60mm METRIC FINE Top

martin sells them for £3.50 the pair

That's standard length, you'll need longer for the bottom one if drilling it out.

Perhaps get some studding and put nyloc nuts on both ends. You can cut to just the right length then.

Id recommend that you spend a bit more money on a really good set of drills before you start. And cover it with cutting combound when drilling. Both my bolts had sheard and it took me about 35mins with a good 12mm drill and installed like stated already 170mm long (B7) high tensile bolt with nylock nuts. I've read on hear some people took hours to drill them out. so good drills is the key.
