you say 'new inner seal' I take it you're referring to the small black seal that comes with the kingpin kit from Martin yeah?

So if there leaking alot of "smeg" is it advised to drain and refill the diff? If so what oil is recommended?

Personally i would change the oil. Like i said earlier i used Newholland oil (which is made by Petronas) and would happily use it again.
