Locking a detachable tow bar was created by bashplate
I recently aquired a Jimny with a 'genuine suzuki' detachable tow bar fitted. In 9 or so years I dont think it had ever been removed so it was a sod to get off. Now that it is removable I'd like to be able to secure to so that some scrote doesn't steal it or my trailer when I have to leave it unattended. Anyone got any simple solutions?

I think that's why it's removable ?
If i don't use it (when it's mounted completely) i take it off and put it in the back of my car.
You put some grease on it and if it's rusted clean it up so i go's smoothly on and off.

My issue is when I have to leave the Jimny unattended when I'm out with the trailer attached.
I'm thinking that a simple solution might be to undo the allen headed machine screws and remove the red sliders which would in turn prevent the other lever being operated.

Can you put some pictures from 3 different points of view from this towbar, that could give me a better sight on the matter.
On the picture you see my detachable towbar, it's (almoast) impossible to take it off when you have your trailer fitted and locked on because you have to push the lever down and then you have to turn it 90° around before you can detach it. When you have a good lock that fits over the system then it is as secured as your lock is strong.
With a grinder offcourse you can do a lot off damage...

Do you just put the ball in the lock it in or is it 90° out then twist it straight and then lock it in
