For what its worth had wheel wobble on a previous motor (pre MOT days) turned out to be a shot track rod end.

After reading this thread and since I was about to replace my brake pads and discs anyway, I decided to take a little more time when re-installing my wheels, ensuring the wheel faces were spotless (which they were not when i took them off, build up of rust and peeled of chrome) and using the correct torques for everything my not as bad as a DEATH wobble but a def character building wobble, has now gone, Ive drivin my jim for a week now (alot) and it hasnt returned so fingers crossed......... in my eyes awesome thread and its saved me some £££££'s.

Very interesting thread. I have a 2008 with 40000 miles and a death wobble at 40-45. It's had new disks and pads just before I bought it and I have put new tyres on it so know it's not balancing. Have not done king pings as there does not seem to be any play but this could be the answer. Will take the wheels off and give them a good clean and report back.
